Son: I don't like being there!

Mother: Give me two reason why you don't like being there!

Son: For one thing, the students don't like me; for another, the teachers don't like me, too.

Mother: Nonsense!

Son: Now, you give me two reasons why I should go to school!

Mother: For one thing, you're a 42 years old; for another, you are the principal of the school! Is that clear?

What a shame!
What kind of principal is that? I feel sorry for his students and teachers. I can't imagine how his mother woke him up everyday for the past 42 years........."Mommy, where is my pants and socks? ......help me get dress and tie my shoes........"

Since you hang around at here most of the time and spent a lot of time reading the 《邓小平文选》in English. I believe you did pretty good on your English exam right?

That's OK! You can use either way. As long as you get the meaning. There is no perfect English here.
If you want to use standard English,
"The teacher DOESN’T like....."
"The teacherS don't like...."

有个问题请教

我高三毕业之后自学英语的话
除了邓选之外
有没有别的比较适合的而且不会太枯燥的教材?
譬如新概念英语怎么样?

I know there are a lot of materials out there which can help you improve your English. It's hard for me to tell you which one is helpful, which one is not. It depends on your English foundation and what is your best interests. But one thing for sure that you can improve your English faster is come here very day to join us in discussion.
